We are comprised of two flowers shops: Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral and Grandville Floral. We are a family owned business with three generations of Grand Rapids florists. We combine our family’s 57 years of experience with all the benefits of a modern flower shop. We live in the communities we serve and work in the flower shops we own.

In 1946 two different flower shops were established. Brothers, Fred, Ed and Harv Dyke, opened Wyoming Park Floral at 2159 Porter Street. Earl and Tophy Tuttle opened Stuyvesant Floral at 142 Madison Avenue in the Stuyvesant Apartment Building. In 1950 Don Dykstra began working at Stuyvesant Floral.

In 1958 Don and Lois Dykstra purchased Wyoming Park Floral. Then, in 1968 Don and Lois purchased Stuyvesant Floral. The Dykstras merged Wyoming Park Floral and Stuyvesant Floral and moved to the current location at 2315 Lee Street. Don and Lois owned and operated Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral until 1984, when their daughter, Sally Prusinowski, purchased the business.

Sally opened Grandville Floral on February 6, 1987. She continues to own both locations and manages Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral. Her daughter, Jennifer Schuitema, has managed Grandville Floral since 1998.

Our shop is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Open Saturday 8:30 to 3:00. Closed on Sundays.

Our shop will always be closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.

Though we are a local Grand Rapids florist, we wire orders anywhere in the United States and Canada. There is a handling and transfer charge of $5.95, in addition to the florist's delivery charge and the cost of the product. The minimum dollar amount for a wire order varies depending on the delivery locations.

U.S. orders must be received before 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery. If it is after noon, and you would like same-day delivery, please call us at 1-800-388-6578. We will be happy to accept your international orders. For International orders, please call 1-800-388-6578.

Our floral designers have several years of experience working on all aspects of floral design from sympathy to event work. Both Sally Prusinowski and Jennifer Schuitema work along side the other floral designers on a daily basis.

Sally purchased Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral in 1984, but her design experience extends back an additional two decades. She began designing in her teen years working for her mother and father. She moved to Boston in her twenties and expanded her design skills and style. She returned to Grand Rapids with her husband and daughter and continued her design work at Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral.

Jennifer Schuitema is the daughter of Sally and the third-generation to work in the design rooms of Grandville Floral and Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral. She also began her floral design experience in her teens working for her mother. Jennifer graduated from Western Michigan University with her BBA. While attending WMU she worked for a Kalamazoo florist to continue learning new and different design skills. After graduating, she began managing Grandville Floral.

Tina Geyer has worked in our design rooms at Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral and Grandville Floral for over twenty years. She is an exception designer with a flair for time-honored designs in both sympathy and everyday work.

Judy McClure is a graduate of Michigan State University. Her interior design experience is an important element to her floral design set. She has an eye for color and contemporary style. She has work as a floral design for us for over sixteen years.

Stephanie Stevens started working for us during the busy holiday seasons. As her children grew older, she became a permanent member of our design staff. She loves designing English garden vase arrangements. She has been with us for over 10 years.

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
